Civil Ceremony at Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, TN

Before Amelia and Sid’s wedding weekend began and all of their extended family made their way into Chattanooga (from all over of the US) to celebrate with them, they held a civil ceremony at the art museum with just their immediate family members. Amelia and Sid are such a special couple- friends to lovers who value their relationship with each other as well as others and use their love of food to show it. Their ceremony took place right before sunset and afterwards they invited early guests to meet them for drinks at Lo Main and recommended their ‘Murder Burger’, which was as good as promised. A few months before their wedding Amelia, Sid, and I met up at Ponce City Market and got to know each other and chit chat about their wedding day over Bibi. Amelia told me she was going to look for a dress for their civil ceremony that day. When it was time for their ceremony I was blown away by how perfect the space and her dress was. When I asked them why they chose Hunter Museum of American Art and more specifically ‘Around the Clock with Red’ by Helen Frankenthaler as their ceremony backdrop they told me because they would come here often and look at it together.
